NTT DATA among the Top S/4HANA Integrators according to Penteo
Independent IT advising company Penteo, the leading advisor to IT management professionals in Spain, has just published its ‘S/4HANA Report 2022’. In this annual report, Penteo analyses how S/4HANA has permeated the country’s business fabric, and highlights the integrators it thinks are the best-positioned there. According to the report, NTT DATA’s capabilities and services make it one of the leading S/4HANA service providers on the market.
Quality, speed and adaptability
One of the reasons why Penteo has given us such a high rating is our perceived quality level of ‘excellent.’ Client feedback on how we do business and whether or not we have met expectations has been very positive. The report particularly highlights the technologies we cover, our flexibility and our knowledgeable staff members. According to the report, NTT DATA’s 231-member team exclusively dedicated to SAP S/4HANA services in Spain has ‘a good balance between different types of technical and functional profiles’.
Another aspect that sets us apart from the competition is our speed. At NTT DATA, we use best practices for S/4HANA adoption, as well as accelerators to reduce project implementation times and therefore increase return on investment. According to Penteo, this is one of the values that ‘sets us apart’, combined with our use of process automation to help reduce the number of manual tasks and increase accuracy and documentation.
Another one of NTT DATA’s advantages as an integrator is the large variety of S/4HANA transition scenarios that we handle. S/4HANA is typically adopted according to one of three different models: Greenfield, Bluefield or Brownfield. We are prepared for any of them and have four specific strategies, each of which involves a different degree of process modification at the company we are advising. This, Penteo notes, allows us to offer ‘a clear and well-defined migration value proposition’.
A broad variety of services
According to Penteo, ‘NTT DATA offers a solid, comprehensive and high-quality range of SAP services’. Furthermore, its services go beyond implementation, also focusing on tool maintenance and designing a strategy to make the most of S/4HANA. Among other highlights, the report highlights our advising service, ‘which includes an evaluation of the client company, sector trends, the technological starting point and opportunities to improve business processes’.
Both this, and the fact that NTT DATA offers applications support for the entire portfolio of SAP solutions, and cover the entire project life-cycle—coordinating our teams with SAP’s teams whenever necessary and clearly defining the responsibilities of each—have been influential in Penteo’s positive evaluation.
SAP use on the rise in Spain
In terms of the broader picture, Penteo’s report indicates that SAP use by Spanish SMEs is increasing. For many companies, SAP is no longer just their ERP system provider: on the contrary, other SAP solutions, such as BPC, SuccessFactors and Concur are also increasing their market share. Furthermore, product satisfaction remains both high and stable in comparison to last year’s report. However, overall satisfaction with integrators has gone down, and only five of them—including NTT DATA—received an ‘excellent’ quality rating.
Approximately 20% of Spanish SMEs using SAP have upgraded to ECC. Increasingly fewer of them are considering a change in ERP system, meanwhile the number of organisations seeking S/4HANA cloud integration is growing. In this sense, Penteo notes that S/4HANA migration projects are ‘progressing very slowly’ and that most companies have scheduled them for 2023 onwards.
